Fall Color

I am always amazed at the blazing colors that autumn offers up each year. But for some reason, the hues of this season have seemed to have taken on a greater brilliance than prior years. It is usually the maples and oaks that catch my attention. Some are truly magnificent for a brief period of time. But lately I have begun to notice equally intense coloration lower to the ground, in the smaller bushes and shrubs, and even at ground level. Here are a couple photos I took this morning of changing strawberry leaves.

Those leaves really are pretty! This has been a great fall for color here too, after a very drab fall last year.
